Website hereditary cardiac disease

As part of the e-DETECT study of Peter van Tintelen and Folkers Asselbergs a new web site was launched to inform patients with hereditary cardiac disease and their family members.

The web site www.erfelijkehartziekten.nl was launched within the framework of the e-DETECT study of the Netherlands Heart Institute. The site aims to inform patients, their family members and general practicioners.

The e-DETECT study aims at early diagnosis of patients with a hereditary heart disease. e-DETECT want to find people with a mutation and to give them a good indication of the risk they will get ill. That would enable us to give each carrier the right treatment.

The web site is part of work package 1 of the study aimed at identifying mutation carriers.
